Why are
my CMYK pictures ending up as "Calibrated Color" or "LAB" in my PDF?
The most likely explanation is that your images had ICC profiles attached
to them when they were saved from PhotoShop. These profiles follow the
image in the file and attempt to force a color-managed workflow. Since
we do not do any color conversions to the files we receive, these profiles
can cause problems.
To correct
this issue, please re-save the offending images in PhotoShop and make
sure that "Embed Profile" and "PostScript Color Management" are not checked.
